These are the people who'll benefit from a Shared Ownership Home

The Shared Ownership Homes service is suitable for people who have a disability who:

Are supported by their Local Authority and have a Care Manager

Want to live anywhere in the UK

Claim Income Support

Currently live in a residential care home, in tenanted accommodation or at home with parents who could be assessed to benefit from living in alternative accommodation that better meets their needs and will get an appropriate support package provided by their Local Authority

Have any level of impairment, irrespective of their mental capacity

Would benefit from a stable, long term home of their own

The scheme is not suitable for people who are in regular full time paid employment or people who live with a partner who is in regular full time paid employment.  This is because State support is severely reduced for people who have household income of their own.
